CNote visits The Takoradi Educational Resource Centre.

 26 May 2008

The purpose of the visit was to get to know the To Be Worldwide Foundation and the work it does for the children, in particular the work on a creative level.

Cnote creates customer experiences that delivers bottom line results. They define strategy & concepts that work for your customers each time. Lea Ward - Board member of To Be Worldwide is the co-founder of Cnote.

"Before our visit we asked several children who frequent the center to write an essay, on the computer, about what kind of business they would like to set up.

Since we ourselves are in the business of creating the perfect customer experience for companies in the Netherlands, we asked the kids to think about how they would make their business “customer friendly”. We received brilliant ideas: from a “Peace & Love Vegetable store” to end Cholera in the community, to a “God is my Provider Drug Store”, where “the drugs have not expired”.

Once we got to the center we worked with the authors on creating a commercial to promote their great business ideas. Scripts were written and storyboards were drawn. Then we handed them easy to use video cameras, and sent them off to film their commercials. After an afternoon of frantic filming, we put all the footage on our computers and did some quick edits.

The next day we watched all the commercials together and handed out prizes to all the young directors, actors, and actresses.  The creativity and speed with which these commercials were put together was quite impressive. The entire community got involved: either because they had to act in the commercial or because they had to abandon their stores so the kids could film there.

Quite amazing too was to see how little was needed to put together a great project like this one: some pencils and paper, video cameras and a computer or two.. And of course a bunch of enthusiastic and talented kids."
